My wife and I got married on Block Island RI and left a deposit with this company.
A week before the wedding, I contacted Avidus and told them that the Ferry going to Block Island was full in terms of getting their car on.
After speaking with people on the Island, I was told that many DJ's, Videographers will put their equiptment on the ferry and walk on the Ferry as opposed to taking their cars as long as someone can pick them up on the other side.
When I called 2 nights before the wedding, I left a message. They didn't even remember that our wedding was that weekend, then refused to go to our wedding unless they could take their car. I begged and said that the Ferry Company would load safely(their 2 camera's) and that their transportation would be taken care of. They would not work with us at all. It's our feeling that they forgot about our wedding and double booked.
All that said, we had no videographer at our wedding. And they would not even give us our deposit back.
I should have known something was odd when you have to make a deposit on their website without being allowed to meet with them.
I would avoid Avidus at all costs. Very sketchy. |
